About Us

With over three decades of experience in the medical field, Craig  has dedicated his career to saving lives and empowering others through comprehensive first aid education and fire safety expertise. His journey began in 1992 as a Paramedic / Firefighter in South Africa, where he developed a passion for emergency care and making a difference when it mattered most.

Over the years, Craig has taken on pivotal roles, including lecturing at the Ambulance Training College, where he trained aspiring emergency professionals in Basic and Intermediate Life Support medicine. His operational experience spans diverse and challenging environments, including Helicopter / Aviation Emergency Medical Services , where he blended ambulance and fire service expertise to deliver life-saving interventions in critical situations.

Throughout his career, Craig has progressed through various ranks within fire, rescue, and ambulance services, mastering a wide range of operational disciplines. These include:

  • Firefighting techniques
  • Mountain and urban search and rescue
  • Confined space rescues
  • Aviation and industrial firefighting
  • Underground mine rescue operations
  • High-angle rope rescue procedures
  • Hazardous materials management
  • Advanced vehicle rescue operations
  • Command and control operations

Craig’s career also included managing and operating clinics and health centers in remote mining locations on Anglo Platinum mines. These facilities provided primary healthcare to mine workers and their families and addressed a wide range of medical scenarios, including delivering babies, treating snake bites, managing major trauma injuries from mining activities, and providing ongoing healthcare support in challenging environments.

Craig has proudly shaped the careers of healthcare professionals by educating and assessing candidates for Basic Ambulance Assistant (BAA) and Ambulance Emergency Assistant (AEA) qualifications. His experience extends to primary healthcare, ensuring the delivery of comprehensive medical services to underserved communities.

In addition to his medical expertise, Craig is a highly qualified fire safety professional. He holds a CFPA Diploma in Fire Prevention and is a proud member of the following professional organizations:

  • The Institute of Fire Engineers
  • The Institute of Fire Safety Managers
  • The Fire Protection Association

Craig is also a qualified Emergency Planning and Resilience (EPRR) professional specializing in healthcare emergency planning, with extensive experience in creating and implementing robust emergency response strategies.

Previously, Craig served as Head of Fire Safety within the NHS, providing strategic leadership and gaining invaluable insights into fire safety management in complex healthcare environments. His passion for direct involvement in safety and healthcare, however, remains undiminished.
